Portsmouth, NH — CHI Engineering Services, a nationally recognized leader specializing in Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) and Natural Gas, engineering, procurement and construction services, was awarded a job training grant by Governor Maggie Hassan earlier this month as a part of The Job Training Fund. Along with two other NH companies, CHI was awarded the grant to enable nine employees to participate in essential training courses.
Lynda Erdbrink, Vice President and Principal Engineer at CHI Engineering Services, is excited about this opportunity. “We are always looking to see our team members equipped to expand their skills and areas of expertise,” says Erdbrink. “We are honored that the Governor would award our team this grant!”
“Investing in NH professionals is key for the continued growth of the local economy,” says Peter Dirksen, President of CHI Engineering. “We are confident that training like this will continue to drive meaningful growth for businesses like ours in New Hampshire.”
The CHI employees that will be taking part in the training will focus on design and fabrication of pressure relieving systems, pressure vessels and control valve engineering, among other topics. Hitachi Cable of America of Manchester and Pennichuck Water of Nashua were also awarded some of the $54,203 grant money to train their employees.
